Thank you for taking the time to learn more about how my programs can benefit your practice and your clients. I’m excited about helping you work with expectant parents who are better informed, better prepared for pregnancy, birth, and breastfeeding, and better matched to your care philosophy and work style.

I believe a maternity care experience that emphasizes evidence-based, respectful, collaborative care is more positive for both expectant parents and care providers.

My classes and programs focus on:

  • Advocacy skills for expectant parents so they are prepared to navigate the maternity care system to get their needs and desires met in safe, healthy, empowering ways
  • Evidence-based care that is appropriate to the needs of each individual birthing woman
  • Physiologic birth as a normal, healthy, biological process, recognizing that doctors, nurses, midwives, and specialists can all practice in a way that respects the natural process of birth and allows for appropriate intervention when necessary
  • Shared decision-making between care provider and client, characterized by respectful interactions and open lines of communication
  • Collaborative care between providers in which the needs and desires of the expectant woman are the primary focus

Classes are presented in various formats, including immediate download, teleseminar and webinar, and live events. I also offer private pregnancy mentoring which can be accessed by telephone or Skype from anywhere in the United States.
